C.J.Niehaus.[Graduated with a BA in Art from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. Post-graduate studies at X.U. & the Art Academy of Cincinnati.] All of the art pieces I make are handcrafted individually of white stoneware clay. I mix my own glaze recipe using raw chemicals, to ensure that each piece of pottery is lead-free and safe for use with foods and beverages. Clay is very sensual. When I throw it (on the pottery wheel), my immersion in my art is more than symbolic. I feel reborn of earth, as other life forces emerge from within my own creative center.
